The Zombie Villager is an undead variant of the Villager from the sandbox game Minecraft, first appearing with the Villagers themselves in the Beta 1.9 Prerelease 2 update.

This hostile mob is essentially a zombified version of the standard Villager, retaining the characteristic large nose and clothing that signifies its profession before its transformation.

Zombie Villagers are dangerous due to their ability to infect the player with the Zombie effect upon attack. However, they can be cured back into regular Villagers through a specific process involving potions and golden apples, adding a unique gameplay element centered on rehabilitation within the Minecraft world.
